Phone answering service · Garages

Answering the phone here is nobody's job. It's hers.

Under a car, nobody runs to the office every time it rings. Janet answers for your garage: appointments booked, callers given an answer, breakdowns put straight through to you.

Don't take our word for it — call her. It's an AI that picks up. Our AI receptionist · +32 460 25 44 13

The situation

Missed calls from morning to night, and nobody to blame

Nine in the morning: a car up on the lift, a hose in one hand, the lamp in the other. The phone is in the office — fifteen metres, two doors and a pair of greasy gloves away. At the counter a customer is waiting for their keys, and a supplier is holding on the other line.

Mechanic, body shop, owner: everyone here has a trade, and answering the phone is not part of any of them. The ringing runs out, the driver hangs up and dials the next garage. That is not carelessness. That is what a real day in a workshop looks like.

Call handling

A phone answering service for garages that sorts every call

Janet picks up within seconds, works out what the caller needs, then does one of three things — the right one.

Call put through liveYour mobile rings and the customer is on the line

An emergency never ends up on a Post-it. It becomes your mobile ringing. You are only interrupted for what deserves it.

Workshop appointments

Workshop appointment booking, without looking up

Oil change, service, brakes, tyres, a check before the roadworthiness test: Janet knows your jobs, how long each one takes and what equipment it needs. She never offers a slot that only exists on paper. She reads what is genuinely free, on the right lift and for the right duration, and books it during the call. The customer hangs up with a time, and the appointment is already in the diary.

Emergencies

Emergencies ring your mobile, not an empty office

A breakdown does not book ahead. When a call is urgent — car immobilised, customer stranded on the road — Janet does not take a message. She keeps the caller on the line and puts the call through to your mobile. A recovery job is won in the first few minutes, and you are the one who picks up first, not the garage down the road.

On another call? She takes the caller back, notes everything and sends you the record flagged urgent.

Everyday questions

The questions that pull you back out from under the car

“Are you open on Saturday?” “Do you lend a car?” “Do you take automatics?” None of these is worth stopping a head-gasket job for, and every one of them is worth a customer if it gets an answer. Janet answers from your own information, and when a request goes beyond it she takes a clean message instead of improvising.

The workshop diary

A diary that thinks in lifts and durations

Lift 1, lift 2, diagnostic bay: Janet books the right duration in the right place. Took a booking at the counter? Block the slot by hand and it stops being offered. No double booking.

Setting up

Nothing to change on your side

No new phone system, no hardware, no change of operator.

1
You keep your number

The one on your sign, your cards and your Google listing. You simply forward your calls, whenever you want, and you can switch it back at any time.

2
Nothing to install

No switchboard to replace, no hardware, no engineer coming out to the workshop.

3
We set it all up for you

Your opening hours, your jobs and how long they take, your emergency rules, your diary. Nothing for you to configure.

4
Live in a few days

Not weeks of project work.

Forwarding is a setting at your own operator: permanent, or only when the line is busy or nobody picks up. Your line, your operator and your number stay yours.

Accessibility

After-hours calls, without the after-hours bill

A traditional phone answering service charges you by the hours it covers: the wider the window, the bigger the bill. That is logical, because there are salaries behind it. Plenty of garages give up on the idea, or settle for a couple of hours a day.

We do not have that constraint. That is what lets us cover the whole day, evenings and weekends included, for workshops that could never have justified it otherwise.

No commitment, and nothing to change in your setup.

Garage owners' questions

Phone answering for garages: your questions

Can she give a price guide for an oil change?
Yes, if you want her to. You set the ranges you are happy to quote, and Janet gives them exactly as you wrote them. She never commits to a firm figure: for a quote she notes the vehicle and the request, and you confirm it yourself.
How does she tell an emergency from an ordinary appointment?
She listens to the reason, the way you would. Car immobilised, customer stranded, a shunt: that is an emergency, and she puts the call through to your mobile. A service to schedule or a question about price is an appointment or a message. The rules are set with you at install, and you can change them whenever you like.
What if I am already on the phone when she transfers a call?
If you do not pick up after a few rings, Janet takes the caller back. She reassures them, notes where they are, the vehicle and their number, then sends you the record flagged urgent. You call back as soon as you hang up, and the customer knows you have been told.
Does she know which makes I work on?
Yes. She is set up with your garage: the makes you accept, the jobs you do, your equipment, and what you do not handle. If a caller asks for something outside that, she says so clearly instead of booking an appointment you would have to cancel.
Do I keep my garage number?
Yes. You switch on call forwarding to Janet: permanently, or only when the line is busy or nobody picks up. Your customers dial exactly the same number as before, and you can turn forwarding off at any time.

The next breakdown goes to whoever picks up first.
